On Thursday, June 5, 2025, on behalf of the House of Representatives, the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu joined His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, in Lagos for the commissioning of the Lekki Deep Sea Port Concrete Road, the virtual unveiling of key infrastructure projects, and the flag-off of strategic road networks spanning Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Bauchi, Yobe, and Borno States.
While Rt. Hon. Kalu was delivering his remarks at the event, he emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in driving economic growth and national unity.
These landmark projects go beyond physical construction, they represent a clear and deliberate commitment by the President to rebuild a nation anchored on inclusion, connectivity, and shared prosperity. The roads, as arteries of national integration, connect not only places but people, linking farmers to markets, youths to opportunities, and communities to the heart of the nation.
The Deputy Speaker lauded the President for his tireless efforts toward infrastructure development, a true testament to his vision and people-centred leadership. He also applauded the Honourable Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, for his dedication and hard work in the execution of this vision.
On behalf of the People’s House, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu reiterated their commitment to working hand-in-hand with the Executive, as co-pilots of progress.
