The National Assembly Library Trust Fund is a centre of excellence for legislative research, policy analysis, and authoritative information services. We provide structured access to credible resources that support evidence-based lawmaking, effective oversight, and informed national discourse.

It is designed to ensure efficiency, transparency, and professional service delivery, with a clear focus on providing accurate, timely, and relevant information to enhance legislative performance and national development.

Library Sections

The National Assembly Library provides print and electronic resources—including government publications, legislative documents, and law reports—to support legislation, research, and learning. Services include reference and research support, user registration, borrowing, current awareness services, proactive information searching, rapid document delivery, specialised research support, information analysis and technical processing, user training, digital content management, and access to computers and online resources through the E-Library.

How to Register

Registration is mandatory for access to physical collections, digital resources, and research services, Ensures secure and efficient service delivery.

  1. Visit the Library for in-person registration and get registered by the Librarians.

  2. Complete the online visiting form on our website.

  3. Enter the required information.

  4. Submit your request for approval.

  5. Once approved you will receive your email confirmation.

All information is treated with strict confidentiality and used solely for official library purposes.

Rules and Regulations

Library Rules and Regulations To maintain order and protect resources, users must:

1. Handle all library materials properly.
2. Maintain silence and a conducive reading environment for all visitors.
3. Avoid unauthorised removal of resources.
4. Compliance with borrowing and return deadlines.
5. Use facilities for approved academic, research, and official purposes.
6. Respect for library staff and other users.

Users must also comply with National Assembly Library regulations, copyright laws, and safety guidelines within the National Assembly complex.
