Ambassadors and Senior Diplomatic Officials from Latin American and Caribbean Countries Visit National Assembly Library

Ambassadors and Senior Diplomatic officials from Group of Latin American and Caribbean Countries (GRULAC) on Wednesday, August 27, visited the National Assembly Library where they were received by the Executive Secretary, Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba and members of the management team.

During the visit, Rt. Hon. Nwawuba and the Library team treated the diplomats to a guided tour around the library facilities including the Reading Hall, Digital Resource Section, Special Collections and Exhibition Corner (showcasing Nigeria’s rich Legislative and Cultural History).

Also, the diplomats and the Library management team discussed possible ways to collaborate in data and resource sharing as the Library continues to work towards achieving its mission of being a robust information and research centre of Nigeria’s National Assembly.

The diplomats who were part of the visit include:
1. H.E. Alfredo Miranda (Ambassador of Mexico and Dean of the GRULAC Group)
2. H.E. Miriam Morales Palmero (Ambassador of Cuba)
3. H.E. Lincoln George Downer (High Commissioner of Jamaica)
4. H.E. Alberto Castellar Padilla (Ambassador of Venezuela)
5. H.E. Nicolás Perazzo Naon (Chargé de affaires of Argentina)
6. H.E. Alvaro Tadeo Guzmán Pereira (Counselor of Venezuelan Embassy in Nigeria)
