Monday November 3, 2025 | The Executive Secretary of the National Assembly Library, Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, received a delegation led by Dr. Silvia Tagbo–Okeke (Special Needs Advocate and representative of the Kanyeyachukwu Autism Society), Dr. Imal Silva (Artist & Curator) and Mohammad Sulaiman (President, Society of Nigerian Artists) during a courtesy visit to the Library.
The meeting focused on a proposed collaborative art exhibition aimed at raising awareness about autism in Nigeria and advocating for inclusive legislation. The initiative seeks to amplify the voices of individuals living with autism and spark national conversations on neurodiversity and policy engagement to advance disability inclusion.
Discussions explored how the National Assembly Library can serve as a platform not only for public engagement, but also as a space to connect art, policy, and advocacy in a meaningful way.
