NALTF Executive Secretary Welcomes 4th Cohort of Legislative Mentorship Initiative

Monday, November 10, 2025 | Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, Executive Secretary of the National Assembly Library, joined the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, CFR at the opening ceremony of the 4th Cohort of the Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI) held at the Conference of Speakers and Presidents of African Legislators (CoSPAL) secretariat.

Nwawuba formally announced and presented the Fellows-in-Training (FITs) for this cohort, marking a significant step in nurturing Nigeria’s future leaders.

He noted that as Chairman of the LMI Selection Panel, he led other distinguished panel members in a rigorous process, reviewing over 7,000 applications to select the most outstanding candidates from across all states, ensuring a diverse and merit-based representation.

He congratulated the new Fellows-in-Training and urged them to fully leverage this golden opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and create meaningful impact in their communities and the country at large. He also commended LMI Founder, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and LMI Director Solape Sonuga, on this noble initiative and their commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.
