The Significance of January 15thJanuary 15th is currently observed nationwide as Armed Forces Remembrance Day. This date commemorates the end of the Nigerian Civil War in 1970 and is dedicated to honouring fallen heroes, celebrating serving personnel, and recognizing the unwavering service and resilience of veterans.

Mandate the Committees on Defence, Interior, and Legislative Compliance to liaise with the Federal Ministry of Interior and relevant stakeholders.
