Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, on Wednesday welcomed a delegation from Global Alliance and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations to discuss the upcoming World Public Relations Forum which will be hosted in Nigeria for the first time in the 25-year history of the Global Alliance.
The landmark gathering will welcome public relations and communication experts from 126 countries to Nigerian shores. The prestigious global event will also take place alongside the African Public Relations Association (APRA) Conference.
This is more than a conference. It is an opportunity to tell the Nigerian story from the Nigerian perspective, challenge misconceptions, showcase our progress and give the world a clearer picture of the Nigeria we are building.

The Speaker emphasized that the event offers an unprecedented platform to tell the Nigerian story directly from the Nigerian perspective, challenge long-standing misconceptions, and showcase the country’s ongoing progress to an international audience.
In alignment with efforts to strengthen public engagement, the Speaker also highlighted the National Assembly’s commitment to leveraging strategic communications to reshape the country’s global narrative and attract sustainable foreign investment. The event will feature the opening of a dedicated Exhibition Pavilion showcasing Nigeria’s legislative history—underscoring his belief that history must not only be preserved, but properly told with confidence, context, and truth.
As preparations get underway to welcome communication leaders from around the globe, the Speaker expressed full confidence in the nation’s readiness to serve as host, assuring the international community that Nigeria will deliver a successful and transformative event.
