National Assembly Library Revives “Legislative Digest” After Six-Year Hiatus

Monday, December 8, 2025 | After a six-year hiatus, the official publication of the National Assembly, the Legislative Digest, has been successfully revived and relaunched.

The announcement was made by Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, the Executive Secretary of the National Assembly Library, who expressed delight at the return of the publication. A copy of the revived edition was formally presented yesterday to the Clerk of the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana.

A Joint Effort to Preserve Legislative History
The newly released edition is a collaborative effort between the National Assembly Library and the Research and Information Directorate of NASS. It is a comprehensive volume meticulously documenting the activities, key milestones, and institutional growth of the first two years of the 10th National Assembly.

The Executive Secretary of the Library emphasized the significance of the project, stating:

“This project means a lot to me because it reflects one of our core responsibilities at the Library, which is to preserve legislative history and make it accessible to the public. I am proud of the work we put in to revive this official publication of National Assembly, and I look forward to seeing it serve researchers, lawmakers and citizens across the country.”
