President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s D’Tigress for winning the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket title for fifth consecutive time.
The D’Tigress cemented their dominance in African women’s basketball after defeating Mali 78-64 in the final on Sunday, August 3.
The Nigerian side became the first country on the to win the championship five times in a row.
In a celebratory post on X, President Tinubu praised the team for their “Superb performance”. He also lauded the players and technical crew for a job well done.
