Tuesday, 10th February the senate plenary session was presided by the president of the senate His Excellency Dist. Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Vote and proceedings of the former sitting was approved and adopted.
Correspondence:
The senate president read the correspondence from the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; His Excellency Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) requesting the confirmation of non-carrier ambassador Usman Dakingari before the floor of the senate.
Motions:
Sen. Tahir Monguno, (Borno North) moved a motion to rescind the decision of the senate as regards clause (60) sub-section (3) of the bill, which relates to the electronic transmission of the results. However, Sen. Suleiman Umar Sadiq (Kwara North) moved a motion for the gruesome murder in Kwara State and commended the Vice President of the federal republic of Nigeria for his recent visit to Kwara State to condole and sympathies with the government and people of Kwara State, urging the federal government to take a decisive action to stop the killings.
