The Senate on Tuesday resumed plenary with key decisions on security and national developnment.
The Senate considered a motion on the security situations in Plateau state co-sponsored by Senator Diket Plang (Plateau Central) and Senator Dachung Mwadkon (Plateau North), calling for a thorough investigation and urging security agencies to establish permanent military barracks in the affected areas. Lawmakers also observed a minute of silence in honour of the victims.

The Senate extended the implementation of the 2025 Capital Budget to June 30, 2026 to allow for better execution of ongoing projects.
