The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will publish the final list of candidates for the January 16, 2027 Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
This publication complies with Section 32(1) of the Electoral Act 2026, which mandates the release of the final candidate list at least 60 days before an election. Last month, INEC issued provisional lists for all major contests, alongside candidates’ personal particulars (Form EC9) in accordance with Section 29(3).

- APC, PDP, and ADC: Expected to field candidates in all 109 Senate and 360 House of Representatives seats.
