The Executive Secretary of the National Assembly Library, Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, welcomed delegates from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) for a meeting to explore potential areas of partnership with the Library ahead of the 2026 World Public Relations Forum, scheduled to take place in Abuja from November 15 to 21.
The forum, themed “Responsible Communication: The Voice of the World,” is expected to provide a platform for discussions on the evolving role of public relations, technology and responsible communication in shaping societies.

During the productive meeting, the delegation held in-depth discussions centered on identifying viable areas of partnership between the Library and the Institute. The conversation anchored heavily on the upcoming Forum’s central theme, which directly intersects with the Library’s ongoing digital transformation and research initiatives.
Nwawuba commended the leadership of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations for securing the hosting rights for this landmark global event, which will welcome communication leaders, diplomats, and scholars from across the world to Nigeria’s capital city.
Reaffirming the Library’s mandate under his direction, the Executive Secretary expressed his firm resolve to build strong collaborative ties with the NIPR.
