This research report explores the dynamics of public participation, civil society involvement, the role of NGOs and social movements, civic engagement, trust in government, and media freedom in Borno State, Nigeria. The findings highlight the critical role of non-state actors in addressing humanitarian crises and governance challenges while also emphasizing the need for institutional reform, inclusive governance, and greater information access.
