The ICT Department of the National Assembly Library Trust Fund (NALTF) recently held a strategic meeting with the Executive Secretary, marking a key moment in our commitment to driving innovation and digital transformation within the organization.
The session brought together key stakeholders, including the Executive Secretary; Mr. Sony Ameh, Head of Administration; Mr. Hope Bassey, Head of ICT; and dedicated members of the ICT department.
Each sub-team — Web Design, Networking, Tech Support, Management Information Systems (MIS), Editors, and others — provided updates on their current projects and shared insights into their ongoing contributions to NALTF’s growth.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary commended the department for its impressive progress and applauded the team’s dedication and hard work. He emphasized the need for continued speed, full compliance with standards, and a commitment to ongoing improvement. He also pledged to ensure that the ICT department is equipped with all necessary resources to succeed in its mission.

As part of our broader vision, the ICT department is actively exploring the integration of artificial intelligence and the development of new digital technologies to enhance library services and support the National Assembly’s operations. From intelligent search and data systems to automated workflows and smart archives, these initiatives are aimed at building a modern, responsive, and accessible digital infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of researchers, legislators, and the public.
This meeting underscores NALTF’s unwavering commitment to building a digitally robust future — one where technology and innovation play a central role in supporting research, learning, and access to information.
